Verification

This guide is for the United Kingdom.

Overview

Every buyer must be verified before sealing a first offer. Verification takes 1 business day.

The desk checks your identity and, where they apply, the licence or registration details you give it.

What You Need

  • Your trade details, where they apply: a licence or registration number, and the body that issued it
  • Your agency or trade name and email, if you offer through one
  • [CONFIRM: the UK checks the desk runs — identity documents, and which licence or registration it asks trade buyers for]

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to offr.bid and sign in
  2. Create an account with your email address
  3. Enter the 6-digit code we send you
  4. On the welcome screen, choose "I am looking to buy"

Step 2: Submit Verification

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Open Settings
  3. In the verification panel, enter your licence number and the body that issued it
  4. Add your agency name and email, if you have them
  5. Submit for verification

Step 3: Wait for the Review

The desk reviews your details within 1 business day.

Step 4: Start Sealing Offers

Once verified, browse the cars currently offered and seal your first offer.

Common Issues

"My details weren't recognized"

  • Check the licence number and the issuing body
  • Check the spelling of the agency name
  • Contact the desk if the issue persists

"My verification is still pending"

  • The desk reviews within 1 business day
  • Refresh the status in Settings to see the latest state
  • Contact the desk if it has been longer
